Reopening update 05.06.20
We are delighted to confirm we will be opening our doors to provide face to face dental care from Monday the 8th of June. All health and safety measures have been finalised and checked. All areas of our practice have been deep cleaned ready to see our patients.
Initially dental care will be provided on an appointment only basis. We are following the latest guidance by our regulators to keep all our staff and patients as safe as possible. This will mean a gradual, phased return of our treatment and services. Dental emergencies, urgent care and Denplan patients will be prioritised in date order, meaning that appointments that were cancelled closer to the beginning of lockdown will be seen first.
Please bear with us in these early stages of opening. If you are waiting to hear from us, we will be in touch very soon.
Over the weekend please only contact us if you are in pain or have a dental emergency using 07902 836550. Our reception team will be taking calls as normal from Monday 8th of June on 01995 605707.
Thank you once again to all our patients for their ongoing loyalty and support. Special thanks to our wonderful team for working round the clock at short notice to allow this all to come together.
We look forward to a positive future and seeing you all soon.
Best wishes from Paul, David and all the team at Staina House

COVID-19 update 28.05.20
We are just waiting for some key information from our regulators before we can plan a reopening date. We look forward to sharing this as soon as we are able.
Spotted some lovely messages of hope for the local community while out walking with my family near home. It made me think of the importance of looking after each other and everyone’s mental health.
Wishing all the best to our team, patients and their families at this challenging time. Thinking of you all, from Paul and David.
Coronavirus update 19.05.20
Paul and David have been using the time this week to work on our staff and patient journey for our return to work. The key principles of this will be staff safety, patient safety and keeping up to date with the latest guidance/ legislation.
This month is also National Smile Month and we are promoting the following messages to look after your smile until we are able to open:-
- Brush your teeth for two minutes, last thing at night and at one other time during the day, with a fluoride toothpaste.
- Clean between your teeth with interdental brushes or floss every day.
- Cut down on how much sugar you have, and how often you have it.
Coronavirus update 12.05.20
Our Hygienists Linda, Tanith and all the team wish all our patients a very happy Gum Health Day! Although the government has relaxed some guidance, we are not able to open for face to face appointments yet. All our patients will be notified as soon as we are able to open properly. We look forward to treating the healthy smiles of all our patients hopefully in the near future. 😁
Coronavirus update 04.05.20
Paul and David are very busy getting the practice safe and ready for seeing patients again. Part of this is ensuring we have the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). It is really great to see local businesses join the fight against COVID-19. Printmob have been using their 3D printer to supply the NHS with PPE visors! Paul and David have donatated £200 to help the cause and thank them for what they have done for the NHS community in the Coronavirus pandemic. https://www.gofundme.com/f/3d-printed-ppe-faceshield-production?utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer&utm_campaign=p_lico+share-sheet
Coronavirus update 23.04.20
Listening to the stories of our patients and dental team over the last week, it has been clear that many people’s lives have been personally affected by COVID-19. It has also been clear how lucky we are to have the superheroes of the NHS looking after us. This sign I spotted on my daily exercise sums it up. From all the team at Staina House we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone helping and working in our NHS!
Coronavirus update 09.04.20
Paul and I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Every week we are calling patients to check everything is ok and offer dental advice. We are very busy behind the scenes making sure everything at the practice is ready for our return to providing face to face dental treatment.
Dental equipment and waterlines require regular maintenance processes to ensure they are safe and effective for use. Our practice has a number of strict policies and protocol regarding cleaning and disinfection.
We want to reassure all our patients that these processes are still being carried out even though our doors are closed.
Take care all of you and stay safe. Best wishes to all of you and your families.
Paul and David
Coronavirus update 31.03.20
We hope everyone is keeping safe and well. Many of our patients are high risk or vulnerable to COVID-19. Paul and I are personally calling all our patients that are due to see us in the near future to check they have the appropriate care and support at this difficult time. It has been really good to speak with our patients over the last few days and we will continue to do this as long as we are able. 🙂
We would like to reassure patients that any rescheduled appointments are being noted and prioritised ready for our return.
Paul and I have also been busy providing dental help and advice over the phone. We want to reassure our patients we are very much still here to help you even though our doors are closed. If any of our patients need dental advice or have a dental emergency then please get in touch.
Paul and David
