Looking for an Emergency Dentist?
COVID-19 Dental Emergency Arrangements Updated 05.06.20
The COVID-19 pandemic has meant many of our existing patients have been unable to seek face to face care for their dental problems. We have been providing dental emergency advice, prescriptions and as much care as possible over the phone. This has allowed us to make a priority list taking into account, the date the problem occurred, the severity of the dental problem and the medical status of the patient.
You will appreciate it can be quite difficult to accurately diagnose a dental problem over the phone without seeing a tooth. This is why in some instances we may require to see you for an Emergency Assessment Appointment before we can book you in for your definitive treatment. At this visit we will examine your mouth thoroughly, carry out any special tests, take X-rays if required and provide you with a diagnosis and treatment plan. We may also provide some temporary relief and treatment at this visit subject to the current guidance issued by our regulators.
If any of our patients require dental advice or have a serious dental emergency then please contact us on 01995 605707 so we can help you.
Normal Dental Emergency Arrangements
There are times when you may need to see an emergency dentist as soon as possible. Whether this be for a dental injury or toothache, we endeavour to see our registered patients who have toothache or dental emergencies on the same day whenever possible. If you contact us first thing in the morning we can usually see you the same day.
We are happy to see unregistered patients. There are a limited number of emergency appointments each day.
During emergency appointments we will do our best to make a tooth feel better and improve your current situation. Sometimes additional appointments may be required for definitive treatment.
If you feel you have a dental emergency and need to see us urgently please contact us to arrange an appointment.
For Patients registered with the practice we operate an out of hours emergency service. Please phone the practice on 01995 605 707, where there are instructions on how to get help on the practice answering machine.
Denplan members may also use the emergency number on their membership card.
